The History Department at Macalester College invites applications for a tenure-track professorship in African history beginning September 2009. Rank open; Ph.D. required by time of appointment. All relevant specializations and periods will be considered. A willingness to participate in and develop courses for the College's interdisciplinary programs, such as Women's, Gender and Sexuality Studies, African Studies or Middle Eastern Studies/Islamic Civilization, is desirable.
