Call for Papers for the 2016 MMUF Undergraduate Journal

May 23, 2016

The Mellon Mays Undergraduate Fellowship Journal is an annual collection of scholarly works by participants in the MMUF program.  Submissions are now being accepted for the next edition of the journal, which will be distributed nationally in fall 2016/winter 2017.

The purpose of the journal is to give MMUF fellows the opportunity to share their research projects and findings with the Mellon community and beyond, as well as to become familiarized with this critical process in the scholarly trajectory.  Works may be up to eight pages in length, double-spaced, and may be the culmination of research conducted under the MMUF Program, the introduction to a thesis or any larger work, or a paper for a favorite class.  There is no formal structure to the paper; however, fellows are encouraged to utilize the format most associated with their discipline of practice.  In that regard, figures, footnotes, and citations should be included.  (Footnotes and citations should be placed as endnotes following the narrative.)

Once papers have been received they will be reviewed by the MMUF Journal editorial board, and forwarded to the editor-in-chief, who will work with authors on final versions.

The deadline for submission of draft papers is Friday, July 1.  The papers should be transmitted in Microsoft Word format and uploaded using the 2016 MMUF Journal Submission Form.

Please feel free to contact Harvard MMUF coordinator Greg Llacer (gllacer@fas.harvard.edu) or Margot Vona (mhvona@fas.harvard.edu) with questions.
